Certified Nursing Assistant

A great place to start your career in Health Care!

Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) prepares you for a fulfilling career as a health care provider and serves as a great entry-point into many careers in medicine including licensed vocational nurse or a registered nurse. Many people who complete the ACC CNA program, continue their medical training in one of the many allied health care training programs offered at ACC CNA work with nursing personnel to provide care and tend to the needs of people of all ages. Working closely with nurses, CNA's provide hands-on care for patients in hospitals and residents of long-term care facilities as well as home care, hospice, rehabs and many urgent care facilities, such as clinics and doctor's offices. CNA often assist with feeding, ambulating, bathing, hygiene and most all activities associated with daily living. In addition, they provide emotional and physical care by working closely with patients and their families. CNA's literally become a nurse's helping hands and are a vital link to any health care team.
