Fifteen graduates were honored with their Associates Degree from Alvin Community College during a ceremony at the Stringfellow Unit on April 9.

To celebrate all the contributions that community colleges make to our region and the country, Alvin Community College will join other institutions of higher learning in celebrating Community College Month this April.

Tracy Gorham was the keynote speaker during the Alvin Community College Student Services retreat on March 22. She also spoke to a separate group of students about dealing with adversity in the worst circumstances.

Alvin Community College regents unanimously approved the purchase of furniture for the recently renovated Student Center during the board meeting on March 24.

Alvin Community College will host a Job Fair on April 13 to help members of the community meet with local employers.
