Alvin Community College approved a contract for the upgrade of the Enterprise Resource Management information system during their meeting on April 22. The $254,000 project will include an institution-wide migration for the servers, equipment upgrades, assistance and more. The project will take approximately two years to complete.
The Alvin Community College Board of Regents unanimously approved the contract for Dr. Robert Exley to serve as the college's seventh president during a meeting on April 28.
Alvin Community College can now recruit students on the go after the recent unveiling of the MobileGo Lab. ACC regents and staff members held a ribbon cutting on April 12 for the Mobile Go Project which will assist students in making the right choice for their education.
The Alvin Community College Mu Upsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honored its Spring 2021 inductees during a virtual ceremony on April 1. Guest speaker for the event was Susan Edwards, Phi Theta Kappa's associate vice president Honors Programming and Undergraduate Research. Edwards shared the abundant resources available to Phi Theta Kappa members. She encouraged students to further develop their abilities in the classroom, the workforce and in the community.
